The Role

We're looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our collaborative People & Culture team. In this role, you'll partner closely with leaders across our diverse retail network to provide trusted advice on all things people-related.

You'll be the go-to for guidance on employee relations, performance management, workplace matters, and interpreting legislation, modern awards, and enterprise agreements. From drafting key documentation and supporting underperformance processes, to helping resolve complex disputes, your advice will make a real difference in creating positive outcomes for both team members and the business.

You'll also contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing within the Advisory team, support our P&C Specialist on complex cases (including investigations), and play a key role in nurturing a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and motivated to deliver great results

Responsibilities

You will provide:

- Partnering with line managers on workplace matters and the preparation of key employee documentation.
- Provide advice on the interpretation of relevant employment law, moderns awards, and industrial instruments.
- Provide guidance on the application of company policies and procedures.
- Support line managers to resolve complex workplace disputes, conflicts or matter arising from various operational.
- Provide advice to line managers on underperformance matters and draft performance improvement plans.
- Supporting the growth of the Advisory team through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Support line managers by providing advice and preparing necessary documentation, including communication with medical practitioners on matters related to non-work-related fitness for duty.
- Support our Specialist P&C Advisor for more complex matters including any matter of alleged serious misconduct or P&C conducted investigations.
- Attend our various sites and foster a positive workplace culture ensuring a productive and engaged workforce.
- Enhance the spirit and reputation of the organisation.
- Maintain a culture focused on sales and customer service.

About You

Essential:

- Employee relations experience advising on modern awards, employment matters and the Fair Work Act 2009.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as human resources, business, psychology, law) or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing workplace investigations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to have difficult conversations with various stakeholders.
- The ability to apply critical thought to drafting and advice in a workplace environment.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.
