Automation Developer - Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide - 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Join us as an Automation Developer and play a key role in driving process excellence across Optus on a 2 year fixed term contract. You will play a role in the Process Enablement Hub that assists the Process Centre of Excellence (PCOE). The team delivers scalable, sustainable automation solutions that transform business processes and enhance customer experience. This is a hands‑on technical role with strategic impact, where you’ll work with groundbreaking technologies like UiPath and Python to deliver automation initiatives that make a real difference.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, build, and implement automation solutions using UiPath and Python to enhance business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Produce high‑quality documentation and solution artefacts, including design documents and handover materials.
- Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering capability uplift and standard methodologies within the automation team
What You Bring
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in automation development, including RPA (UiPath) and Python scripting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, OpenShift), and cloud deployment (AWS).
- Strong problem‑solving abilities, skill in engaging customers, and a proactive approach
