Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Regional QHSE Manager to lead Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives across the APAC region. This strategic role will shape how we maintain excellence in operations while ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement across multiple facilities and countries.

The role is designed to support the development and maintenance of Viasat APAC's Integrated EHS and Quality Management Systems. Lead, develop, deploy, and monitor all regional Quality and EHS programs, procedures, policies, and standards ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local legislation, customer expectations, and corporate requirements. The successful candidate will partner with the Leadership at multiple levels to ensure alignment and support of Quality and EHS compliance and improvement activities across all of APAC. Act as accountable representative for ISO9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification for all relevant facilities.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the EHS manager for all APAC facilities and Quality POC for relevant facilities
- Create and analyse QHSE KPIs, produce comprehensive reports
- Establish and maintain QHSE critical metrics for contractors and supply chain partners
- Perform regular audits and inspections at all APAC sites
- Coordinate and deliver training on QHSE topics
- Manage incident notification, investigation, reporting and tracking
- Maintain ongoing communications with internal and external stakeholders

Experience and Qualifications

- In-depth knowledge of Work Health and Safety Management Systems
- Traceable Supply Chain, EHS, Corporate Quality, Workplace Services experience
- Environmental Management Systems and Quality Management Systems
- Ideally, international experience in QHSE
- Proven in holding business areas and facilities accountable for QHSE targets
- A track record in managing complex projects and audit programs
- Strong technical understanding of QHSE issues
- Australian citizenship (mandatory)
- Ability to obtain Australian Government Secret Clearance (NV1)

Ideally, candidates will have relevant tertiary qualifications in QHSE, Engineering, or a related field. You will possess professional certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Lead Auditor certifications). You will also have experience in either aerospace, telecommunications, or defence industries.
