We are now seeking an Underground Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance team at our Tropicana Gold Mine. Accountable to the Supervisor: UG Mechanical Maintenance.

This role is based at the Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities:

- Carrying out maintenance tasks in the underground area as directed by Maintenance Supervisors,
- Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance and ensures that the Values are adhered to at all times.
- Maintaining UG and in pit dewatering pumping systems, Compressors, Primary ventilation, refuge chambers and fixed plant assets underground and in the mining areas.
- Availability to work a callout roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdowns.

About You

- A commitment to working safely
- A relevant Mechanical trade qualification as either a fitter and machinist, automotive or heavy diesel fitter, fitter welder or similar with proven fitting experience.
- Experience in the maintenance of pumping and ventilation systems or heavy industrial plants preferably with experience in the mining industry.
- The ability to work underground and in pit locations
- The ability to work as part of a Multi-skilled Workforce
- Possession of Mobile crane CN, dogging DG, Rigger basic RB, Elevated work platform WP and Forklift LF high risk work licenses highly regarded
- Current Confined space entry & Working at heights certificate
- Current C Class Drivers License
- Existing working rights in Australia (mandatory)
