Green Beacon Brewing Company, known for consistently producing top-notch beers and boasting an impressive trophy cabinet, is seeking to expand its team. They are hiring a Lead Brewer at their main production facility in North Brisbane. This role offers career progression opportunities within their business and parent company, Asahi, along with support for further industry qualifications.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning team. Reporting to the Head Brewer, the Lead Brewer will oversee the brewing team at the Geebung brewery, working with renowned beers such as Wayfarer Tropical Pale Ale, 7 Bells Sour, and Windjammer IPA.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and coordinate the Brewing Department, focusing on People, Plant, Process, and Systems to ensure product quality and output are achieved efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
2. Support the Head Brewer in managing and improving flavour stability
3. Lead brewing projects
4. Enhance brewing hygiene
5. Develop brewing plans in collaboration with the Production Manager and lead the brewing team to meet production targets
6. Apply problem-solving and decision-making techniques

What we want from you:

1. Ability to work safely and perform manual tasks associated with the role
2. 5-7 years of experience in brewing or a related field
3. Understanding of process control in a brewing environment
4. Assertiveness and analytical skills
5. Proven technical brewing knowledge and ability
