Overview
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will be responsible for assisting with the busy workload in our CRW (Component Rebuild Workshop) and BCP Service centre (Building and Construction Products). As a Plant Mechanic you will work on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment, performing a variety of tasks, including assembly or reassembly of components, dealer provided option installations, maintenance and build ups to customers specification ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the build.
Roster
5 days on, 2 days off – 10.5 hours (including a meal break)

- Promote, encourage and monitor safety to a high standard within the team
Skills & Experience
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Vehicle Mechanic)
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high safety standards
- CAT equipment experience is highly desirable
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical problems efficiently
- Ability to work on various types of machinery and adapt to new technologies and methods
- Precision in assembling, testing, and maintaining equipment to ensure safety and performance standards are met
