Our client is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead their digital transformation program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to modernise and streamline internal operations, improve service delivery, and make a significant impact on the organisation's future. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to work from home or on-site. This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension.

What you'll do:

As a Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of our client's digital transformation journey. You will plan and manage the delivery of complex projects that aim to modernise and streamline internal operations. Your role will involve coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendor relationships, identifying opportunities for business process improvement, and supporting change management activities. Your expertise in ICT and digital transformation will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of these projects.

- Provide expert advice on ICT and digital transformation project design and implementation
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, budgets, and reporting
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical, records, finance, and business stakeholders
- Ensure project deliverables are met within agreed timelines and quality expectations
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement related activities to the delivery of digital tools
- Identify opportunities for business process improvement and systems integration
- Support change management and communications activities

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Project Manager role brings extensive experience in government IT project management and has technical expertise in contemporary technical solutions. You understand the value-for-money assessment process and can effectively evaluate daily/hourly rates. Your background includes working on similar digital projects in small government agencies or experience working with DEWR ICT. Additionally, you must be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.

- Value-for-money assessment including daily/hourly rate evaluation
- Technical expertise in contemporary technical solutions
- Extensive experience in government IT project management
- Experience in similar digital projects in small government agencies or experience working with DEWR ICT is desirable
- Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
