The Asset Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the Optus Stadium Facilities team and overseeing the end-to-end management of asset procurement, installation, maintenance, and the successful delivery of related projects. This role also encompasses the administration of stadium utilities and waste contracts, ensuring compliance, cost-effectiveness, and service efficiency.
In this role you will:
- Maintain and administer the asset register, including asset tagging and disposal processes.
- Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of preventative and reactive maintenance schedules.
- Oversee the operation and performance of utilities and waste management contracts, including invoice processing, supplier engagement, performance reviews and monthly reporting.
- Manage contracts and relationships with key contractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure project timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met.
- Oversee the management of maintenance issues, faults, or damage, including escalation and contractor engagement where required.
- Monitor and report on utility consumption and demand trends.
- Develop and manage the annual operational expenditure budget.
- Assist the Facilities Project Manager with the procurement and lifecycle management of FF&E.
- Manage and provide guidance todirect reports (Asset Maintenance & Logistics Supervisor andFacilities Coordinator).
To be successful, you will have:
- Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia (no limitations on hoursor restrictions working for the same employer).
- Demonstrated experience in facilities, plant operations, and equipment management.
- Proven experience managing direct reports effectively.
- Experience with working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail,accuracy in reporting, and multitasking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client-facing interactions
- Results-driven with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity usingproject management software tools.
- Experience with MEX Maintenance Software,AutoCAD(highly desirable).
While the standard workinghours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, the nature of the events industry means you will be required to work outside these hours, especially during events held at Optus Stadium and Stadium Park.
