Overview

Join Hive Healthcare as the Director of Medical Imaging

Provides high-level strategic leadership and direction regarding Medical Imaging services, including clinical governance, professional matters, network development and service integration. Undertakes a clinical load with a portfolio of non-clinical work such as research, education, clinical governance and other required work.

Responsibilities

- Lead the Medical Imaging Service with strategic direction and governance, ensuring quality and safety of services.

- Oversee operational and administrative aspects of the Service, including budget management and resource utilization.

- Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager, Operations Manager, and Chief Radiographer to align operational and strategic priorities.

- Maintain appropriate standards and drive service integration within the Tasmanian Health Service.

- Contribute to clinical governance, education, research, and evidence-based practice in medical imaging medicine.

Qualifications

- Must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant occupation and be registered with the relevant agency.

- Provide certified copies of requested proof of identity documents for criminal history and national police checks; Declaration of any current criminal or significant disciplinary proceedings or restrictions on clinical practice.

- Accountable for the overall operation and administration of the Service with regard to quality and safety of services provided.

- Proven experience and capacity in providing medical imaging education programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; involvement in research related to evidence-based practice in medical imaging medicine; ability to plan and manage research programs.

- Highly developed communication, collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution, consultation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with external and internal organisations.

- Knowledge of contemporary human resource management principles and financial planning and budgeting skills, including Employment Equity and occupational health and safety principles.
