Total Remuneration Package: valued at up to $151,704.00. Base salary ranges from $87,550.00 to $133,846.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information

Plumpton Public School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community with an enrolment of 530 students, including a 5% Aboriginal student cohort and 70% of students from non-English speaking backgrounds. In 2026, the school will consist of 26 classrooms, seven of which are inclusive education classes. The school fosters a culture of high expectations, connectedness, inclusion, and belonging, where students, staff, parents, and the wider community work collaboratively to promote excellence. Teachers are dedicated to delivering explicit, high-quality teaching and learning experiences, with a strong focus on developing students’ foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.

Specific Selection Criteria

- Approval to teach Inclusive Education and/or experience teaching students K-6 with Autism, mild, moderate and severe intellectual disabilities, including those with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Demonstrated capacity to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated teaching and learning programs to improve outcomes for students with high learning needs and cater for a diverse range of abilities within one classroom.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively in building relationships that enhance the positive culture across the school and wider community.
- Demonstrated ability to create a classroom setting that provides a safe, inclusive environment for students and staff.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
