City of Melbourne, Australia Programmed Full time

About the Role:

We're seeking a Strategic Portfolio Analyst (APEC) to join a dynamic team on behalf of our globally recognised company and play a key role in optimising their finished product portfolios across the APEC region.

In this critical role, you will act as the strategic link between Product Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. Your core responsibility will be to provide insightful analysis of our current portfolio setup, sourcing strategies, and cost structures - all with the goal of identifying and driving opportunities to reduce total cost of goods sold (COGS) and enhance product profitability.

This role directly supports the Finished Lubricants & Additives (FLA) portfolio, along with related Asia Engineered Chemicals (AEC) product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse finished product portfolios and sourcing setups to identify profitability and cost‑saving opportunities
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Product Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to align strategy and execution
- Recommend and support implementation of optimisation strategies related to formulation design, sourcing, and production planning
- Support regional portfolio decisions with data‑driven insights, focusing on cost‑efficiency and value creation
- Track and report on COGS reduction initiatives and other performance metrics across the APEC portfolio
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and stakeholders for effective decision making
- Monitor and respond to changes in raw material markets, production capabilities, and supply chain dynamics

What We're Looking For:

- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 3+ years' experience in portfolio analysis, product strategy, procurement, or supply chain roles
- Strong understanding of product formulations, sourcing strategies, and production planning
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data analytics tools
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without authority
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience in the chemical, lubricants, or manufacturing industries is highly desirable

Why Join Us:

- Be part of a global organisation driving innovation and sustainability
- Work at the intersection of strategy, product, and supply chain
- Enjoy a collaborative, performance‑driven culture with opportunities for growth
- Make a measurable impact on business performance in the APEC region
- $130k - $140k plus super + KPI Bonus + Shares
