At CAAT, we're passionate about what we do. And it shows

Here, you'll find a cultural spark in everything we do – from the way we partner with members and employers, to the way we work, collaborate, and grow. It doesn't just feel different at CAAT. It is different. We're one of the fastest-growing pensions in the country for a reason. We challenge the status quo, making a real impact on the hundreds of employers we serve – from education institutions to major corporations and household brands. And we're just getting started. Driven by core values and a shared purpose, we're fierce champions for better retirement security, known for our can-do culture where everyone plays a role in bringing our vision to life. If this sounds like a fit, we'd love you to be a part of it.

About the Role:

We are seeking an Analyst to join our Investment Risk & Analytics team, which is focused on measuring and analyzing investment risk at the total plan level. Reporting to the Manager, you will deliver value-add analytics and risk reporting to support the investment decision making process. This is a high-impact role on a small team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, critical thinker, and excellent problem solver. The successful incumbent will integrate technology, an understanding of financial markets, and quantitative techniques to deliver value-add analysis.

As the Newest Member of our Team, You'll:

- Utilize programming skills to develop and maintain tools for investment risk analysis (e.g., stress testing, active risk, value at risk, liquidity risk).

- Manage and validate holdings and market data used in analytical models, including tracking new investment mandates and backfilling gaps.

- Collaborate with the Finance and Investments teams to ensure data accuracy.

- Streamline/automate data management workflows and reporting processes where possible.

- Conduct research to improve and expand analytical capabilities.

- Extract and communicate meaningful insights from data.

- Monitor financial market developments and apply them to risk analysis.

- Support exploratory or cross-functional projects that align with organizational goals.

To Succeed, You Bring:

- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a financial risk modelling or investment management-related function at an asset owner (e.g. pension fund, endowment) or other financial institution.

- A post-secondary education from an accredited institution in finance, math, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics or other related disciplines.

- Hands-on experience with a high-level programming language, preferably Python.

- Pursuing the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), FRM (Financial Risk Management), or other related designations is considered a strong asset.

- Strong foundational understanding of different financial instruments (including derivatives), asset classes, and investment strategies.

- Experience with investment risk measurement concepts (VaR, SaR, active risk, shortfall risk) and applied quantitative techniques (regression, simulation, optimization).

- High attention to detail and rigorous problem-solving; ability to think big picture and understand investment decision-making beyond just numbers.

- Strong written and verbal communication for clear, concise explanations; collaborative team player; thrives in performance-driven environments with initiative, independent thinking, and a strong work ethic.

At CAAT, we believe innovation, passion, and purpose are ingredients for a great work environment. We're incredibly proud of our people and the remarkable impact they have as catalysts for change. We're committed to attracting and keeping great talent, which means competitive compensation, exceptional benefits, and an environment where people can grow and thrive.
