About the role
We are looking for Support Workers to service the Hunter and surrounding NSW area. Your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients including aged and high needs clients with activities of daily living and providing support services in their own home such as Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Respite, and Personal Care. We strive to provide high-quality care to enable our clients to feel as independent as possible while living in their own home.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Client Choice, positive routines, and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the client as per Calvary home Care's Service Delivery Model.
- Ability to work shifts in set time blocks/pattern rostering.
- Ability to drive client/company vehicles.
- Proactive in supporting clients to enhance their life choices both at home and in the community.
- Report changes in client's health, care plans, or if additional services are needed.
- Review regularly communications received via email, Support Worker Connect, and other communication methods to stay updated on policies, procedures, and activities across Calvary.
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and the health and safety of others within the workplace.
- Protect the rights and confidentiality of clients by ensuring the care provided maintains client dignity and privacy.
- Complete a minimum of Certificate III in Individualised Support, Home & Community Services, Aged Care or equivalent.
- Hold a current full driver’s license.
- Maintain a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR.
- Have a reliable motor vehicle with valid registration and full comprehensive third-party insurance.
- Possess a smart mobile phone or device.
- Willingness to obtain NDIS Clearance and Police Clearance (within 6 months).
- Access to the internet and experience using a computer, systems, and applications.
