Construction Operators (Multiple Roles) – Tamworth, NSW

This role provides opportunities to serve our community in providing quality construction of sealed roads, unsealed roads, bridges, footpaths and stormwater drainage projects whilst utilising your experience operating heavy plant, concreting, laying pipes, driving trucks and general labouring. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operating a range of plant and equipment e.g Backhoe, Front End Loader, Bobcat, Excavator (
- Knowledge of engineering infrastructure construction and maintenance techniques
- Following procedures and processes
- Working with minimal supervision
- Working effectively with others
- Monitoring and maintaining a safe workplace

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Hold a Certificate III in Civil Construction OR related field OR equivalent experience
- WHS General Construction induction Card
- Ability to operate a range of heavy plant
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- Proven ability to contribute to positive team culture
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision whilst applying great time management skills
- Current HR Class Drivers licence

A Certificate III in Civil Construction, Plant or other related field is desirable however applicants with 12 months equivalent experience and/or a willingness to obtain this Certificate will be accepted.

Salary range: Grade 7 - $1,151.80 - $1,246.30 per week plus superannuation & allowances for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a Pre-employment Medical Screening including Alcohol & Other Drugs Testing.
