The Opportunity

We’re looking for experienced and safety-focused Boilermakers/Welders to join our team on the BHP Western Ridge Crusher Project, a major expansion near Newman, WA.

This is your chance to be part of a landmark resource development, working on a 20 days on / 8 days off FIFO roster from Perth. You’ll play a key role in installing the structural components that support critical electrical infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Boilermaker/Welder with an electrical infrastructure focus, you’ll be responsible for:

- Fabricating and installing cable ladder systems and supports to engineering specifications and Australian Standards
- Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
- Performing structural and general metal fabrication for electrical and mechanical systems
- Welding to a high standard using MIG, TIG, and stick processes
- Measuring, cutting, grinding, and shaping metal components with precision
- Conducting quality inspections to ensure alignment, dimensions, and weld integrity
- Following all site safety procedures including JHAs and permit-to-work systems
- Collaborating with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure safe and timely delivery

What You’ll Need

Essential:

- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding).
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a mining or heavy industrial construction environment.
- Proven experience with cable ladder systems and interpreting detailed technical drawings.
- Current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets.
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Highly Regarded:

- High-Risk Work Licenses (EWP, Dogging, Rigging).
- A current manual driver’s license.
- Previous BHP site induction.
