As a Clinical Research Officer at Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Cancer Services trial and research portfolio. Your responsibilities will encompass the development, preparation, submission, and ongoing management of essential research documentation, as well as overseeing study feasibility, start-up, close-out, and archiving activities. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will leverage your comprehensive understanding of health service delivery and the research regulatory environment to support the Clinical Trials Manager in all trial administration activities.

Additionally, you will be responsible for research data management and study coordination, ensuring that our clinical trials are conducted efficiently and in compliance with all regulations. Wollongong Hospital , located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
