About the Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer or Associate to join our client’s Specialty Lines Insurance team in Brisbane. This role is ideal for a lawyer looking for structured development, high-calibre mentoring, and a clearly defined path to senior positions. The work is intellectually stimulating and includes:
- Large-scale litigated matters across construction, property damage and professional indemnity
- Complex policy interpretation and coverage advice
- Directors and Officers (D&O) liability and risk advisory
- Front-end contract negotiation and corporate risk mitigation
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a portfolio of insurance litigation matters and related advisory work
- Engage in policy interpretation, coverage analysis, and risk assessment
- Support senior practitioners with complex matters and client-facing work
- Collaborate with Partners and Special Counsel to deliver high-quality outcomes
Key Requirements
- Between 3-5 years’ PAE with experience in insurance litigation or commercial disputes
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues with confidence and precision
- Strong communication and drafting skills
- A growth mindset and ambition to develop into a senior lawyer or future leader
- Previous work with insurers or corporates highly regarded
