Overview

Position: Motor Mechanic – Full-Time

Ilyas Auto Tech is a trusted automotive workshop based in Dandenong, providing high-quality vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs. With a reputation for professional workmanship and excellent customer service, we specialise in maintaining a wide range of vehicles — from everyday passenger cars to light commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

- Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in petrol and diesel vehicles.

- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.

- Service and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.

- Use diagnostic equipment and manual techniques to identify mechanical and electronic faults.

- Test and adjust mechanical components to ensure proper functionality.

- Carry out replacement and fitting of parts such as clutches, timing belts, and exhaust systems.

- Conduct road tests to verify vehicle performance and repair accuracy.

- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.

- Ensure compliance with workshop safety and quality standards.

- Collaborate with colleagues to complete repairs efficiently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification).

- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic.

- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.

- Good communication and customer service skills.
