Fix Auto Mulgrave is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this role is responsible for carrying out high-quality service and repair work on customer vehicles in accordance with repair orders and dealership standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect and test vehicles to identify mechanical issues and complete preventative maintenance.
- Perform services such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, wheel balancing, and filter replacements.
- Diagnose and repair engine failures, brake issues, gearbox faults, and electrical/mechanical malfunctions.
- Conduct test drives and make adjustments to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Comply with all relevant safety and emissions regulations.
- Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning and detailing as needed.
- Record all service and repair activity accurately.
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment by following operating procedures and performing maintenance.
- Manage parts and supplies inventory, including ordering and stock verification.
- Stay current with automotive technologies and best practices through training and reading technical manuals.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to carry out MOT-related inspections and vehicle assessments
- Experience rebuilding engines and gearboxes
- Familiarity with LPG conversions and tuning
- Experience fitting radios and other vehicle features
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license
