About the Role
As a Family Support Practitioner, you'll deliver vital outreach family case management to vulnerable and marginalised families, caregivers, children, and young people in Brisbane’s inner northern suburbs.
This full-time opportunity supports our multidisciplinary team approach, helping families at risk with information, practical skill development, and intensive support strategies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Engaging with families, building trust, and obtaining consent for support.
- Developing and implementing case plans that respond to unmet needs and child protection concerns.
- Working collaboratively with a wide range of services and professionals.
- Advocating for families and supporting them through complex challenges.
- Building culturally safe, respectful, and inclusive relationships with families from diverse backgrounds.
What You'll Bring
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Services or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering intensive family support services.
- High cultural competency with the ability to work sensitively across cultures.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- A passion for social justice and making a difference in the lives of children and families.
