Responsibilities
1. Lead a small team of professional services staff and be responsible for managing the business and administrative functions of the Facilities team, including contracted services, residential tenancy agreements, and supporting the Head of Facilities in leading projects including minor capital works.
2. Provide support to the Head of Facilities with the financial management of capital works and operational budgets, and coordinate the customer service team responsible for ensuring that all Facilities jobs logged via the ticketing system are allocated, managed and completed within approved timeframes.
3. Produce reports on service provision and work with contractors to manage contractor obligations including KPI performance.
4. Support the Head of Facilities in ensuring smooth campus operations in a full-time permanent capacity.
Qualifications and attributes
- Willingness to role model and promote the ethos and values of the College.
- Demonstrated experience in facilities, property, or asset management, ideally in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Experience managing contracts, service level agreements and KPI adherence.
- A hands-on leader who can motivate and guide a team to deliver results.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance standards, and contractor management.
- Trade or technical qualifications (desirable but not essential).
