Position: Cleaner – Permanent Part‑Time (0.63FTE) commencing Term 4, 2025.

East Beechboro Primary School (PS) located in the City of Swan welcomes applicants to join a warm, inclusive community that serves approximately 370 students. The role supports the overall cleanliness and safety of the school environment.

The Role

As a cleaner you will carry out the following duties:

- Internal cleaning – maintenance of carpets, hard‑floor surfaces, toilets, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and general cleaning.

- External cleaning – verandas, covered areas, drinking troughs, windows, cobweb removal.

- Seasonal tasks during vacation times – stripping and sealing vinyl floors, shampooing carpets, pressure cleaning verandas and undercover areas.

- Follow safer cleaning procedures, use of equipment and chemicals safely; assist the Cleaning Team under direction of the Cleaner‑In‑Charge.

Requirements

- Good attention to detail, reliability, punctuality and pride in work.

- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning practices.

- Ability to follow department procedures under guidance.

Eligibility

- Valid Working With Children Check.

- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a Screening Clearance Number.

- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa with work rights for the term of appointment.
