About the Role

The temporary Material Handler 2 will be primarily responsible for picking, packing and shipping materials to Avive’s CM, customers, and 3PL locations. They will also support daily inventory and manufacturing activities. The work environment is fast-paced and requires high quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and accuracy.

What You'll Do

- Shipping and Receiving

- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders

- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials from trucks and other transport vehicles

- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, noting discrepancies or damages

- Prepare and stage finished goods for shipment, including packing, labeling, and securing products

- Inventory Management

- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain accurate stock levels

- Store and organize materials in designated locations for easy retrieval

- Use inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) to track material movements and update stock

- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages

- Materials Handling & Transport

- Safely operate and inspect material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks)

- Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas

- Handle materials with care to prevent damage

- Safety and Quality Control

- Adhere to safety guidelines and wear required PPE

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

- Report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues to a supervisor

- Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, production teams, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflows

- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support team goals and production schedules

Desired Skills & Experience

- High school/GED or equivalent to 2-4 years of experience in materials handling and inventory control

- Experience in a medical device or other regulated environment is a plus

- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably NetSuite

- Ability to work with minimal supervision

- Customer service oriented with internal and external customers

- Accuracy and attention to detail essential

- Safety-minded, able to work quickly and accurately

- Good verbal and written skills; competent in basic math concepts

Bonus Points

- Some computer/software skills; knowledge of Excel preferred

- Cross-trained in 1-2 other materials roles

- Ability to lift 50 lbs and move heavy materials
