Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL) is looking for reliable and motivated Night attendants to join our teams in Sid Ross, Ayiparinya and Topsy Smith Hostels, Alice Springs NT, and help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at our facilities and hostels.

All positions are full-time, rostered 75 hours per fortnight.

Ongoing positions may be offered to merit pooled candidates; however non‑ongoing opportunities may also be offered for up to 12 months initially with the possibility of an extension.

Merit pooled candidates may also be considered for similar positions for Full‑time opportunities.

What We Offer:

- Competitive Pay & Benefits: $59,520 - $64,877 per annum. You’ll receive 15.4% superannuation, and generous leave entitlements to make sure you’re well looked after.

- Remote Locality Allowance:Employees are entitled to the payment of $6,529/annum with eligible dependants or $3,596/annum without eligible dependants.

- Generous shift penalties apply for work after hours, weekends and public holidays.

- Generous Leave Entitlements – including additional days off when your RDO falls on a public holiday, 18 days sick/personal leave per annum, cultural and NAIDOC day leave.

- Employee Assistance Programme:Employees, their partners, and their dependants/children will have access to a confidential, professional counselling service to assist employees to manage personal and work issues.

Key Responsibilities: Night Attendants

- The Night Attendant position is an ongoing or non‑ongoing, full‑time (75 hours) per fortnight. The rostered working period consists of weekdays and weekends and includes generous shift penalties.

- Maintain the security of premises, monitor premises to preserve order and protect property.

- Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of residents, staff and visitors.

- Respond to emergencies.

- Write reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons, or unusual occurrences.

- Perform other general cleaning duties to ensure hostel grounds, gardens, windows, and the property are kept clean, tidy and clear for residents.

Eligibility:

- Provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.

- Undergo a satisfactory National Criminal History Check prior to engagement.

- Hold and maintain a Working with Children Check in NT prior to engagement.

- Meet Fitness for Duty requirements prior to engagement.

- Hold or obtain relevant qualifications.
