About the Role
We are seeking applications from experienced Mining Production Supervisors for current and future vacancies across our open cut mining assets through out the Bowen Basin - Caval Ridge, Goonyella, Peak Downs and Saraji. These roles will each report to the Superintendent of Coal Production on various rosters, though typically 7:7 and 6:6 rotating rosters can be expected. You will be responsible for the management and oversight of a production crew, including ensuring the safe execution of the mine plan in accordance with operating standards, procedures and defined processes to deliver optimal production outcomes.
In this role your key responsibilities will include:
Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team. Lead by example, support a diverse and inclusive team with a collaborative culture;
Manage a team of experienced and new to industry operators, encourage the development of the teams skills to support the delivery of superior production outcomes;
Apply a continuous improvement approach to identify and improve upon our operating philosophy and processes, ensure quality and efficiency in our operations; and
Lead by example, promote and take the lead supporting and encouraging a diverse team of operators to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment ensuring a safety first approach.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead positive change andsupportthe continued development of a high performing team. The successful candidate will have an absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards, mine working procedures and ensure a safe and environmentally healthy workplace.
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to foster positive working relationships and be adaptable to various communication styles;
Have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, lead and facilitate cooperation with production personnel;
Proven ability to plan, organise and coordinate a variety of tasks within a dynamic environment;
Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP and similar systems and databased;
Experience working in Leadership roles, with strong people management skills; and
Experience working in mining production roles;
- Mining Supervisor Statement of Attainment - G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3)
