About the Opportunity
Liverpool Hospital is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Administration Support Officer to assist with the daily operations of our Security Department. This is a fast‑paced role where your ability to manage competing priorities and high volumes of work will be key to ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
You’ll be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks, often working independently and resolving issues on behalf of the Security Manager. Your communication skills will be essential, as you’ll regularly liaise with internal staff and build strong relationships with external emergency services including Police, Fire Brigade, and Ambulance.

What You'll be Doing
The Security Support Administration Officer role is an integral part of the team that supports the operational aspects of the Security Department and provides face‑to‑face customer service to hospital staff, patients and visitors. The role will provide a range of administrative and clerical support services to enable the Security Department to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

Where You'll Be Working
Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south‑western Sydney, offering a wide range of state‑wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.
The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state‑of‑the‑art equipment and amenities.

Computer literacy with advanced knowledge and practical skills with computer and internet‑based software with a high level of accuracy in word processing, data entry and minute‑taking skills.
Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding work environment, including time management and organisational skills like coordinating Security Management calendars.
Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and customer communication skills.
This role involves programming electronic access cards, creating staff photo IDs and managing a key database. Please specify relevant experience with similar systems or if you’re willing to learn.
