About the Role

As an NDIS Support Worker, you'll play a vital part in helping participants in Whyalla achieve their goals and stay connected to the community. Whether it's providing one-on-one support or encouraging social and economic participation, your work will make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Supporting individuals with daily living activities, inline with their NDIS plans.

- Encouraging community participation and work‑place readiness.

- Providing person‑centred support that honours individual goals and preferences.

- Collaborating with families, carers, and professionals for holistic care.

- Promoting inclusion, cultural awareness, and high ethical standards.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone warm, empathetic, and reliable, someone who understands the unique strengths and challenges of regional communities like Whyalla. You’ll thrive in this role if you:

- Hold a Certificate III in Community Services, Disability Support, Peer Work or similar (or have equivalent lived/professional experience).

- Have a current SA driver’s licence.

- Hold a DHS Working with Children Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

- Bring experience in community support or one-on-one client care, particularly in regional or remote settings.

- Communicate effectively and build trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

- Understand the NDIS and have knowledge of disability and/or mental health supports.
