Overview

HumeLink West Project

Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors, have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 143 km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.

HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW, significantly increasing the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365 kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.

The Opportunity

We are looking for Labourers to join the HumeLink West JV project team in Wagga Wagga and the Riverina Region. There are roles available in the Civil, Substations and Logistics teams.

- Demonstrated experience in a similar environment

- Knowledge and experience in construction, transmission or Oil and Gas

- Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environment compliance on site.

- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

About You

- Construction White Card - required

- Driver’s licence (HR Licence)

- Work Safely at Heights - desirable

- High Risk Work Licence - WP (Work Platform) - desirable

- Construction experience - desirable

- Heavy industry experience - desirable

- Excavator ticket / Skid Steer Ticket Trade Qualification - desirable

The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.

Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.
