The Role
We currently have the opportunity for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our Allied Health team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a varied caseload including gastrointestinal surgery, general medical, ICU, cardiac and orthopaedics.
As a Dietitian your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current Nutrition & Dietetic practice. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning
- Demonstrated proficiency in the ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement
- Ability to provide leadership and direction in assisting the flexible utilisation of resources to enhance service delivery
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience with a minimum as a Level 2 Dietitian
- Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)
- Current Accredited Practicing Dietitian Status
- Experience in the acute hospital system, with specific knowledge of TPN, PEG and Enteral feeds
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant allied health experience against the current Healthscope – NSW – Health Professionals and Support Services Agreement - 2023, a salary ranging from $38.42 - $66.62 per hour
