At CSR, we're building a better future together.
We are a team of 2,600 people across Australia and New Zealand, and we are all collaborating every single day towards a shared purpose - 'Building solutions for a better future'. As a leading Australian Manufacturing business, we're at the forefront of developing innovative, sustainable, and high performing building products and systems.
At CSR, we put people first. We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, supportive, and inclusive working environment that enables everyone to feel valued, grow and truly thrive. We are committed to providing equal opportunity for everyone and welcoming people of all backgrounds, identities, experiences, abilities, and life stage.
Lead one of CSR's most significant capital projects – Major Capex in construction, plant, and infrastructure.
We are seeking a Construction Manager to take a pivotal leadership role in the delivery of a major brownfield upgrade at our Coopers Plains site. This highly technical and complex project includes new building works, large-scale plant and equipment installation, and major site infrastructure upgrades — all within a live manufacturing environment.
This will be a 2–Year Fixed Term Contract commencing asap.
About the opportunity:
- Manage the construction of new facilities across a large industrial site without interrupting ongoing operations.
- Oversee all contractors and construction partners — including Principal Contractors — ensuring compliance, safety, and performance.
- Lead interface coordination across multiple workstreams including civil, structural, and mechanical works.
- Provide input into final design stages and construction scheduling.
- Ensure financial tracking, forecasting, claims, and variations are managed proactively.
- Own WHSE outcomes on-site and lead commissioning and defects management through to handover.
About You:
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in large-scale industrial or high-rise construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through commissioning.
- Adept at managing complex stakeholder groups and balancing priorities in high-activity environments.
- Known for a strong safety mindset and excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience within manufacturing or brownfield environments will be highly regarded.
- Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or project management.
Why Join Us?
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of CSR's largest capital projects — a transformative upgrade that will support the next generation of Gyprock manufacturing in Australia. You'll work alongside experienced project, engineering, and operations leaders, and gain exposure to some of the most exciting work happening in our business.
We're offering a 2-year fixed term contract, competitive salary, and the chance to truly make your mark in a high-impact, nationally significant project.
What we offer
We strive to support your professional and personal growth. Here are some of the perks you'll enjoy as part of the CSR team:
- Attractive salary and benefits, including access to exclusive discounts and offers.
- Supportive and collaborative culture that fosters innovation and inclusion. You'll be surrounded by talented colleagues who are passionate about their work and committed to helping each other succeed.
- Care and wellbeing offer includes up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave, 52 weeks of superannuation payment, and access to an employee assistance program.
- Rewarding career with on-the-job learning, development, and upskilling opportunities within and across our brands
