Overview

Maintenance Technician at St George Private Hospital. Provide support to the hospital's facilities team, direct and manage maintenance contractors, participate in an afterhours on-call roster, and ensure maintenance duties are kept up to date and within budget. Reports to the Maintenance Manager and collaborates with preferred suppliers.

Responsibilities

- Provide facility maintenance service delivery; manage external contractors to meet planned scope and budget.
- Coordinate and direct work of maintenance contractors; participate in afterhours on-call roster.
- Ensure all maintenance duties are completed and up to date; report progress to Maintenance Manager.

Skills and Experience

- Relevant experience in facility maintenance service delivery.
- Working knowledge of commercial air conditioning systems.
- Willingness to work across trades within your skill levels.
- Proven experience in external contractor management.
- Understanding of OH&S policies and procedures.
- Sound computer literacy.
- Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Experience with Quality Improvement principles.
- Experience in a hospital maintenance role.

Requirements

- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
