Product Engineer / Auto Electrician STEDI

As part of our fast-growing operation, we are seeking a skilled Product Engineer / Auto Electrician to join our dynamic Product and Merchandise team at our Truganina head office.

In this hands-on role, you will drive the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge 4WD lighting products — from electrical circuits to wiring harnesses — ensuring superior performance and reliability in rugged off-road conditions.

What You'll Do:

- Design and engineer electrical circuits and components for 4WD lighting products like LED light bars and auxiliary lights.
- Develop and test prototypes, focusing on electrical safety, durability, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues from development through field testing.
- Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and manufacturers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
- Document technical specs, wiring diagrams, and produce installation guides.
- Provide technical support and training for customers and installation teams.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and customer feedback to enhance products.

What We're Looking For:

- Solid knowledge of automotive electrical systems, canbus, circuit design, and diagnostics.
- Experience in product development including prototyping and testing.
- Skilled in wiring harness assembly, soldering, and using electrical testing equipment.
- Understanding of industry safety standards and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Project management skills with the ability to deliver on time.
- A passion for 4WD and field testing is a plus but not required.
