Salary: Level 2, $72,562 - $77,741 per annum (pro-rata) (DOE (SSO) CA 2024)
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2025.

The Role
The successful applicant will:
- provide and prepare chemicals, equipment and materials for study
- design and construct teaching aids
- collect and care for living organisms in accordance with chemical, physical and biological laboratory practices and legislative requirements
- organise preparation areas and classroom laboratories
- undertake general housekeeping of chemicals, equipment (including repairs and maintenance) and other resources
Suitable applicants will be highly motivated and able to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently to support the efficient operation of the Science Learning Area.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated experience working within a science laboratory, including knowledge of laboratory techniques and relevant safety and legislative requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of science subjects relevant to the curriculum taught in secondary schools and the ability to design and construct experiments and equipment to support curriculum requirements
- Demonstrated good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated well developed keyboarding and computer skills including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing
