We are seeking a passionate and motivated UI/UX Design Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide support to our designers in creating user-centered and visually appealing digital products. You will have the opportunity to learn from the Head of Design and User Experience and contribute to the design process from research to implementation. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and grow in the field of UI design (with a keen focus on the User Experience).

Tasks

Responsibilities
Design Support:

Assist the lead in the creation of user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

Manage visual content creation incl. in UI design. Ensures design thinking while keeping any brand guidelines in mind.

Prepare design assets and specifications for developers.

Designs custom graphics or repurposes existing graphics as needed to fit in the UI design. Self sufficient from a UI and graphic design perspective.

Conduct basic user research and usability testing.

Gather and analyse user feedback.

Support in managing creative tools and software (Figma, Canva, Photoshop to name a few).

Collaboration:
Collaborate with the team (incl. developers) to execute design ideas for clients and internal projects.

Clearly communicate design ideas and rationale.

Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions.

Learning & Development:

Stay up-to-date on the latest UI/UX design trends and best practices.

Proactively seek opportunities to learn and expand skillset.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in UI and/or UX design (including internships).

Skills Required

Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Suite, Canva).

Basic understanding of user-centered design principles.

Creativity and a keen eye for effective design and aesthetics.

Strong communication skills for collaborative tasks.

Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

A passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences.

Bonus Points

Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

A strong online portfolio showcasing design work.

Work Location: Remote
