About the opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Assessment Officer where you’ll coordinate and lead exploration program assessments of sensitive and complex nature in accordance with legislative requirements. In this role you will: - Coordinate and lead the assessment of complex applications and programs related to the mineral resources sector and any other areas deemed relevant. - Provide leadership and mentorship in relation to sensitive or complex assessments. - Manage assessments through the legislated process, engaging industry, Government technical experts and community as required. - Coordinate and lead compliance monitoring activities to ensure exploration operations are effectively regulated and are compliant with legislation requirements. Qualifications Essential: Degree in Science, Environmental Management or Engineering related to the resources industry. Remuneration PO3 salary range $99,788 - $105,495 + superannuation. Full‑time role, working 37.5 hours per week.
