Overview
The Partnerships Director will act as a senior leader in the team, responsible for driving the success of a market leading digital partnership within the retail sector.
This person will strategically navigate every facet of the partnership lifecycle and always be on the lookout for innovative solutions, proactively partnering with internal teams to spearhead the development and implementation of high-level strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the partnership whilst enhancing revenue retention and propelling sustained year-on-year growth.
This role reports into the Group Sales Director and has a Partnership Manager as their direct report. This entails managing day-to-day workflow and performance, performance reviews, professional development and ongoing upskilling.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable and responsible for managing budget and growing and retaining the partnership’s budget and revenue
- Leading contractual negotiations and annual partnership strategy with senior client trading and client leads whilst collaborating with internal NCA stakeholders
- Understand and develop and execute long-term partnership strategies aligned with NCA x Client overall business objectives
- Proactively ideate and seek innovative brand, tech and category based solutions to ensure relevance and growth
- Collaborate with internal departments to broaden the partnership’s scope and integrate it with other client services, enhancing efficiency and connectivity within the business
- Single point of contact for client/acting as a conduit and working closely with internal teams, including partnerships, product, marketing, editorial, brand and finance/pricing, to align partnership activities with overall business goals and ensure seamless collaboration
- Pitch & negotiate proactives and partnership agreements, and ensure that partnerships align with Client and NCA strategic goals
Who are you?
- 10+ years experience/track record in media and or marketing roles managing and developing and negotiation of partnership strategies built for growth
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with proven experience negotiating with ELT level and c-suite stakeholders internally and externally
- Proven track record and experience within a sales and revenue driving role, managing large scale budgets and partnership revenue of surplus of 5M
- Track record of delivering sales growth, budget tracking and overachieving on revenue targets
- Developing and managing strategic media partnerships (proven experience)
- Experience devising short and long term revenue generating strategies within a media and or sales role
- Demonstrate proven experience in operating and analysing data and measurement platforms
- Proven experience establishing operational processes systems and reporting to senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Experience with conflict management and resolution
