Care in Action
With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action.
Right now, we’re seeking a Senior Manager, Dispute Resolution & Litigation
who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.
About the role
The Senior Manager, Dispute Resolution & Litigation leads the TAC’s Dispute Resolution & Litigation branch, responsible for originating motions, common law, statutory benefits, prosecutions, alternative dispute resolution, and associated administrative functions. You will ensure high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective legal services are delivered, while driving cultural and operational improvements.
Much of your impact will be made through collaboration outside the branch, acting as a strategic partner with internal stakeholders to enhance services, and with external stakeholders, including key legal bodies and TAC’s panel firms, to drive performance in innovative ways. You will also play a key role in leading transformation initiatives, including implementation of the optimised TAC Protocols, that improve client outcomes and position TAC as a leader in social insurance legal services.
This is a highly influential leadership role requiring strong strategic capability, systems thinking, and exceptional influencing skills. You will balance delivering outcomes today with shaping the future direction of dispute resolution and litigation at the TAC.
About the Team
This role is part of the Resolutions Group within the Clients division – dedicated to achieving efficient, just and cost-effective injury recovery and independence outcomes for those injured in transport accidents.
You will lead a proven high-performing branch of over 50 people, including 8 direct reports (one Branch Coordinator, three Team Managers, and four Senior Legal Managers). The branch has consistently delivered strong culture and engagement results, including record OCI and EOS outcomes, and is well-placed to continue evolving under your guidance.
Reporting to the General Manager, Resolutions - a leader who values autonomy, collaboration, and adaptability - you’ll have the trust and clarity to lead your branch with confidence while working within an engaged and capable senior leadership team.
What we’re looking for
Proven People & Cultural Leader You bring extensive experience leading sizeable teams or business units, with a strong track record of guiding people through reform and cultural change.
Collaborative Mediator & Influencer You’re an exceptional communicator and negotiator, able to influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve shared objectives. Skilled in mediation and problem-solving, you can shift perspectives and bring people together to deliver sustainable solutions.
Strategic & Systems Thinker With substantial expertise in legal, claims, or business management, you bring a strategic lens to your work. You’re solutions-focused, identifying opportunities, anticipating risks, and presenting clear, practical options that improve services for clients, stakeholders, and the Victorian community.
Why you’ll love it here
There’s more to work than a competitive salary and amazing employee benefits. As our newest Senior Manager, Dispute Resolution & Litigation, you’ll also:
Make a positive difference
Every day the work you do at the TAC contributes to something bigger. As part of an inclusive, supportive team you’ll find real purpose in achieving goals, together.
Be rewarded for great work
We value our people, offering salary packaging and a reward and recognition program.

We’re invested in your progress. When you work for one of Victoria’s largest and leading workplaces, you’ll receive extensive internal opportunities for development and access to the LinkedIn Learning Digital Hub.
