
Organisational Change Manager

A great opportunity to lead change across major digital and tech initiatives in a key government department. Based in Brisbane CBD, you’ll help teams adapt to new systems, processes, and ways of working - making sure transformation sticks. You’ll work on high-impact projects. Partnering with project leads, architects, and stakeholders, you’ll embed change strategies that support people and deliver real value.
What you’ll do
- Lead end-to-end change management across a range of ICT initiatives - from early planning and stakeholder alignment through to implementation and post-launch support.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, creating open lines of communication and tailoring messaging to suit technical teams, frontline staff, and executive leadership.
- Develop and deliver engaging training programs and change materials that help staff feel confident and supported as they adopt new systems and processes.
- Track adoption, gather feedback, and provide actionable insights to improve future rollouts - ensuring changes are not only implemented but embraced.
- Support the transition to business-as-usual by embedding change into everyday operations and helping teams build long-term capability.
What you bring
- Proven experience leading organisational change in ICT or government environments, with a track record of driving successful adoption across complex programs.
- Deep understanding of change management frameworks like Prosci or ADKAR, and the ability to adapt them to suit different project contexts.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills - you know how to listen, influence, and bring people on the journey.
- A collaborative mindset, analytical thinking, and genuine empathy for those navigating change.
- Minimum five years’ experience managing change across large-scale ICT projects, ideally with cross-departmental impact/within Queensland Government.
- Strong capability in designing and implementing tailored change management strategies, communications, and engagement approaches that are creative, compelling, and fit-for-purpose.
- Proven ability to conduct change impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, and training needs assessments, and to develop integrated change, training, and communication plans.
- Demonstrated experience managing change-related registers, readiness plans, and reporting to support effective adoption, sustainment, and realisation of business benefits.
