Senior Medical Practitioner - Psychiatry Salary: MP Year 1-3 $334,456 - $355,785 p.a. Currently we are seeking a Senior Medical Practitioner (SMP) - Psychiatry to join our team to provide a 7-day service at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Based in the Emergency Department, you will also provide a consultation liaison service in general wards and other parts of the hospital as needed. This position works on a roster that includes weekend, and after-hours work based on operational requirements, and in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement. Workload is very manageable. You will share work with another SMP. Also, a Registrar will work alongside you. About the Role Responsible for the mental health assessment, treatment, and management of clients with mental health illness as well as the provision of service to their families and carers, promoting patient safety and quality of care. Provides orientation, training, supervision, and education, where relevant, for Doctors in Training and other health workers. Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service.
