Overview

The Brickmen are a team of certified bricklaying professionals specialising in high‑quality brickwork for residential and commercial projects. From new builds and extensions to shop fit‑outs and architectural finishes, we are known for our precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, delivering durable structures with a timeless aesthetic.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Bricklayer to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for setting out and executing face‑brick, block, and stone work to premium standards. This is a full‑time, permanent role based in Sydney, NSW.

Responsibilities

- Plan, set out, and lay bricks, blocks, and stonework accurately, ensuring structures are level, square, and aligned.

- Achieve high‑quality face brick finishes with consistent joints, mortar, and aesthetics.

- Install and align door/window frames and integrate related components (lintels, flashings, weep holes).

- Regularly check plumb, level, and alignment; correct deviations promptly.

- Follow architectural plans, specifications, and bond patterns.

- Maintain site safety and cleanliness, using PPE and handling tools/equipment safely.

- Operate and maintain bricklaying tools and equipment.

- Coordinate with other trades and site managers to ensure seamless project execution.

- Work outdoors in various conditions and meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

- Minimum of a relevant Certificate III qualification, and at least two years of experience in the industry, or

- At least 3 years of experience in the industry to substitute the formal/relevant qualification.

- Strong attention to detail, especially for visible brickwork finishes and joint consistency.

- Solid understanding of bricklaying techniques.

- Good physical fitness, ability to work outdoors, climb scaffolding, lift and move materials.

- Good communication and ability to work cooperatively as part of a team, and also able to work independently when required.

Compensation

Annual salary will be between $70,000.00 and $80,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
