Established in 1983, Swan Christian College is an non‑denominational school in Swan Valley serving around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Swan Christian College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior School Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team starting Term 1, 2026. This is a full‑time, ongoing position.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum, using varied strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

- Maintain accurate student progress records and communicate updates to students and parents via emails and Parent‑Teacher evenings.

- Implement effective classroom management to foster a positive learning environment.

- Support students in developing organisational and study skills.

- Participate in additional duties such as grounds duty, staff meetings, College functions, and House activities, contributing to the broader College community.

- Adhere to College policies, demonstrate care for students’ spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth, and perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Selection Criteria

Essential

- Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and actively participate in a Christian Church.

- Accept and live in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of Belief, and Educational Objectives.

- Build and maintain strong, healthy relationships with families, SCEA Head Office staff, and the College community.

- Exhibit exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads.

- Display strong problem‑solving abilities, making informed decisions quickly while showing initiative and taking direction.

- Hold a current Working with Children card and maintain TRBWA Registration.

Desirable

- Experience teaching Mathematics Methods and Mathematics Specialist.

- Competence in the use of technology.

- Innovative and collaborative teaching approach that engages students.
