The Role

Morley SHS is ideally seeking a dynamic and collaborative individual who is committed to working effectively as part of a team and who strives to connect and inspire with staff, students, and the wider school community. The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent interpersonal skills and be relationship focused with the expectation that they are able to take on course leadership responsibilities. Building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role.

As a Design and Technology teacher, you should have a strong evidence‑based approach to teaching, be reflective in assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice to support professional growth and be able to display how your pedagogy has actively resulted in improved outcomes and progression for your students.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful applicant should ideally be an expert, passionate teacher of Design and Technology with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. They should be able to display an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and experience in developing and delivering the curriculum using a wide range of teaching models.

Qualifications and experience in teaching any of the following subjects will be considered highly desirable: Design and Technology courses such as Materials, Mechanical and/or Mechatronics; General Engineering; General Woodwork; Certificate II in Construction Pathways, or Automotive.
