Job Description

Stack the deck with kindness Volunteer and brightensomeone’s week.

Are you a friendly soul who enjoys a good chat and a game ofcards? We’re looking for a volunteer to visit a lovely Scottish-born woman oncea week for an hour of connection, conversation, and companionship. With strongfamily values and a warm heart, she’s hoping to share stories, laughs, andmaybe a board game or two.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care VolunteerVisitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established topromote links between elderly people and volunteers in their localcommunity.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd behappy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly dependingon your availability.
