Position Overview The Quality Control Engineer - plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and managing non-conforming products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This position involves performing vital metrology activities, processing non-conformances, and overseeing measurement instrument calibration. You will also contribute significantly to enhancing product and process quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and resolving both internal and external quality issues. Key Responsibilities - Timely processing of Non-Conformances (NCRs) and managing calibration of required instruments. - Conduct precise metrological services to ensure compliance with "Deliver In Full, On Time" (DIFOT) standards. - Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. - Collaborate with suppliers to resolve non-conformance issues and manage the disposition of discrepant materials. - Perform CMM programming and operation, and improve measurement techniques and methodologies. - Participate in maintaining quality system compliance and conducting internal audits. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimise product quality through collaboration with manufacturing teams. - Prepare and present relevant quality control reports and training programs. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality control and metrology, with a commitment to driving quality and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. - Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality discipline. - A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with high precision metrology instrumentation. - Proficient in CMM programming and operating, specifically with Hexagon PC-DMIS. - Thorough understanding of GD&T principles and technical drawings. - Demonstrated analytical skills for fault finding and issue resolution. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive team environment.
