Position Overview The Quality Control Engineer - plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and managing non‑conforming products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This position involves performing vital CMM operations, metrology activities, processing non‑conformances, and overseeing measurement instrument calibration. You will also contribute significantly to enhancing product and process quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and resolving both internal and external quality issues. Key Responsibilities - Perform CMM operations, and improve measurement techniques and methodologies. - Timely processing of Non‑Conformances (NCRs) and managing calibration of required instruments. - Calibrate tools and maintain the gauge register. - Conduct precise metrological services to ensure compliance with "Deliver In Full, On Time" (DIFOT) standards. - Prepare and present relevant quality control reports and training programs. - Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. - Collaborate with suppliers to resolve non‑conformance issues and manage the disposition of discrepant materials. - Participate in maintaining quality system compliance and conducting internal audits. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimise product quality through collaboration with manufacturing teams. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality control and metrology, with a commitment to driving quality and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. - Degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality discipline. - A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with high precision metrology instrumentation. - Highly proficient in CMM operating, (experience with Hexagon PC‑DMIS is highly desired but not a mandatory requirement). - Thorough understanding of GD&T principles and technical drawings. - Demonstrated analytical skills for fault finding and issue resolution. - Solid understanding of manufacturing processes - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive team environment.
