Full Time Veterinary Receptionist - Specialist Referral Practice
Animal Eye Care stands as Australia's premier Veterinary Ophthalmology Clinic, continually expanding its reach and influence. We are currently in search of a dedicated receptionist to become an integral part of our esteemed veterinary and nursing team on a permanent basis. This position offers a full-time commitment of 38 hours from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of part‑time arrangements for the right candidate. Notably, weekend shifts are not a requirement for this role.
As the first independent veterinary referral practice in Australia, Animal Eye Care has been a beacon of excellence in patient care and veterinary ophthalmology for nearly three decades. Our unwavering focus is on the health and well‑being of both our patients and their caregivers. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality of compassionate medical and surgical care, without the distraction of retail sales.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the welcoming face and voice of the clinic
- Handle client calls and inquiries with professionalism
- Warmly greet patients and their caregivers upon arrival
- Coordinate and schedule appointments efficiently
- Process payments and generate invoices for caregivers
- Ensure patient comfort by providing gentle reassurance and treats
- Maintain an organised and up‑to‑date daily schedule
- Assist caregivers with pet insurance claim submissions
- As expertise in ophthalmology grows, triage patients for timely care
- Foster a calming environment to alleviate stress for both pets and their owners
