SEVENTY7 PAINTING AND DECORATION PTY LTD, based in South Morang, Victoria, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Painter to contribute to our expanding residential and commercial projects across Melbourne.
About Us:
At SEVENTY7 Painting and Decoration, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service. With a reputation built on trust and professionalism, we take on a wide range of interior and exterior painting projects, including decorative finishes and restoration works.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
• Preparing work areas by erecting ladders, trestles, and scaffolding, and using drop sheets to protect adjacent surfaces.
• Removing old paint, wallpaper, and surface coatings, repairing damaged surfaces, filling cracks and holes, and sanding to create a smooth base.
• Mixing and matching paints, stains, and varnishes to achieve desired colours and textures using the correct ratios of pigments, oils, and additives.
• Applying paint, varnish, and protective finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and metal surfaces.
• Installing and aligning wallpaper, ensuring patterns match and edges are trimmed cleanly.
• Performing minor repair work such as window frame adjustments and glass replacement in timber and metal casings.
• Laying or repairing tiles on walls and floors as part of surface restoration when required.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order and ensuring job sites remain clean and safe.
• Following OH&S guidelines at all times, including the correct use of PPE and safe handling of materials.
• Advising clients on suitable paint types, finishes, and maintenance where appropriate.
What We're Looking For:
• Proven experience as a professional painter in both residential and commercial settings.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and tools.
What We Offer:
• Competitive full-time salary between $75,000 and $85,000 (based on experience).
