There are two, 12-month Graduate Project Officer positions available. We are establishing an 18-month recruitment pool of suitable applicants for the above-mentioned positions. Suitable applicants will be placed in the pool, where placements can be made to fill similar permanent and fixed term positions at any time during this period. Permanent opportunities will be offered to those with permanent residency, and fixed-term opportunities for those with the appropriate visa for the duration of the fixed-term contract.

About the Program Our rotational Graduate Program offers two Graduate Project Officers the opportunity to contribute to purposeful projects across a range of business areas. Over the 12-month program you will complete two, six-month rotations. These projects will give you the opportunity to:
- apply and develop your skills in research and analysis;
- gain experience in strategic planning and business case development, aligning to government frameworks;
- build and develop relationships with key external and internal stakeholders;
- develop your government writing skills through report writing and preparing presentations.
You will work in two of the following business areas, aligning to your qualification, skills and career interests.
- Communications and Marketing – development and management of communication, marketing and advertising plans and strategies to promote skills and TAFE in WA. A tertiary degree or higher in Communications, Digital and Social Media, or Marketing is desirable.
- Clean Energy Skills National Centre of Excellence – works with WA TAFE colleges, universities, industry and national partners to co-design training solutions, support trainers, and ensure broad access to clean energy opportunities. A tertiary degree or higher in Business and/or Commerce, Communications, Sustainable Energy or Project Management is desirable.
- Training Accreditation Council – quality assurance and recognition of Vocational Education and Training services across WA. A tertiary degree or higher in Business and/or Commerce, Economics or Management is desirable.
- Work Health and Safety – advice and guidance on WHS matters and implementation of the Department’s WHS Management Framework. A tertiary degree or higher in WHS or Human Resources is desirable.
- State Workforce Planning – identify gaps in the labour market and design policy interventions to enable growth of new and emerging industries in WA. A tertiary degree or higher in Economics or Data Science is desirable.
