We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Country Managing Director to lead our operations in Australia. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive background in the marine and energy sectors, exhibit exceptional leadership qualities, and have a demonstrated history of driving business growth. As the Country Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Accelleron's operations in Australia, ensuring alignment with the global Accelleron vision and mission, and achieving strategic objectives in areas such as planning, business development, and team management.

Your responsibilities:

- Fully accountable for the Accelleron business in Australia, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and balance sheet management.

- Develop and implement the local business strategy in accordance with the strategies and targets defined by the divisions.

- Contribute to the enhancement and periodic review of the global Product Market Strategy for Service in Australia.

- Execute Accelleron and divisional market strategies considering global targets, local market dynamics, and organizational structure, including short, mid, and long-term business planning.

Representation and Stakeholder Management:

- Represent Accelleron in local associations, government relations, and actively manage partnerships with external stakeholders.

Governance:

- Establish and maintain local governance in accordance with legal requirements and global organizational strategy. Ensure compliance with international integrity standards.

- Fulfill fiduciary duties on behalf of the local legal entity.

- Act as an authorized signatory for compliance with local regulations and statutory requirements.

Accountability for Local Market:

- Serve as a prominent, customer-facing sales leader with a recognized presence and high-level customer relationships in Australia.

- Oversee and supervise all marketing and sales activities.

- Promote an entrepreneurial spirit to support business development in target markets.

- Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with existing and new customers to foster business growth and ensure continuous customer satisfaction.

- Implement efficient procedures and effective processes, ensuring cooperation among different functions within the local organization and the global Accelleron Service Network.

- Ensure the implementation and integrity of operational, health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) guidelines in line with Accelleron’s policies.

- Drive the implementation of the global digital strategy in Australia, including collaboration with customers and promoting digital products and digitally enabled agreements.

Human Resources / People Management:

- Recruit and develop employees to the required level to achieve business goals.

- Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed. Guide, motivate, and develop both direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.

- Uphold Accelleron values, drive culture, lead with empathy and vision, align people with Accelleron’s strategic goals, and lead by example for all employees.

- Ensure labour industrial relations are respected and represent Accelleron in matters of need. Maintain contact and collaboration were needed with labour industrial relations, representing Accelleron in all respects and instances.

Your background:

- University degree or equivalent in engineering or economics.

- Broad management experience with a good understanding of major functions such as finance, sales & marketing, service, and business development.

- Demonstrated strong and effective management leadership, including change management.

- Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

- Proven track record in successfully leading and growing a business unit or region.

- Ability to develop and motivate a diverse team; demonstrated ability to bridge cultural differences.

- Strong communicator and motivator.

- Solid understanding of fiduciary duties and integrity.

- Ability to communicate at all levels, from service engineers to senior executives and chairpersons of customer companies.

- Familiar with the specific requirements of the diesel engine and marine industry.

- Fluent in English (written and verbal).

- Ability to travel within Australia and internationally as required.
