About Us
Bay Building Group is a market leader when it comes to insurance building in Australia. Operating nationally, for 35+ years we have specialised in repairs to domestic and commercial properties damaged through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact and malicious damage.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated State Construction Manager to lead our construction operations across NSW and ACT. This pivotal role in our Bay Building Services team will oversee end-to-end construction delivery from estimating and pre-construction through to handover.
You will lead and continue to nurture a high-performing team, playing a key role in driving excellence in customer service, operational performance and continuous improvement.
Key activities (include but are not limited to the following):
- Lead and manage our NSW & ACT team to deliver insurance repair jobs safely, efficiently and profitably.
- Oversee estimating and cost control process to achieve client and financial objectives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across the insurer, loss adjuster and broker verticals.
- Driving delivery to ensure exceptional customer service and communication throughout each job lifecycle.
- Manage construction delivery from job authorisation through to completion and handover.
- Monitor state performance in line with client and organisational objectives.
Key Professional Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a construction management or state management role in the insurance or building and construction industry.
- Strong understanding of estimating, construction delivery and operational management.
- Extensive business management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
- Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Formal qualifications in Building & Construction, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field (desirable).
